Interim Reports February 27, 2017

Interim Reports go home MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2017.

Please remember this report is the progress of where your child is currently at right now. This report is NOT the final grade for Quarter 3 as we still have many weeks of learning to go yet! Please encourage your child to keep working hard, do their homework, which is for practicing the material they are currently learning, read each night, and to write a summary of their reading to help with their comprehension.

Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome your child to third grade!  I hope your family enjoyed the summer break.  I am very excited to be working with you and your child for the 2016-2017 school year!

In third grade, our curriculum is based largely upon a balanced literacy program.  Each day, your child will participate in reading and writing and will work in literacy centers (Daily 5) to refine his/her skills in these content areas.  Your child will be expected to read daily, at home and school.  We will also focus on one or two math skills per week.  The specials your child will attend weekly (we are on a 6 day rotation) include P.E., Music, Art, Science Lab, Dance, Drama, and Spanish. Science and Social Studies are integrated daily.

Again, I am excited and look forward to working with you and your child as a team this year!  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me via email ( or through the school office (478- 3522).
