Subjects Taught
Physical Education

I attended Campbell University, where I received a Batchelor of Science Degree in Physical Education.  I also received a Master's of Education Degree from Campbell University.

I was an assistant track coach at Campbell University, while attending graduate school.

I taught Physical Education for one year at Cape Fear Christian Academy in Erwin, N.C., where I also coached JV basketball, was an assistant baseball and soccer coach.

I taught Spanish for one year at Jacksonville Middle School, where I also coached volleyball for many year after.  I also taught Spanish at Thompson Elementary for one year.

I taught Physical Education for many years at Thompson Elementary School.

When I stopped coaching volleyball, I was a volleyball referee for many years for middle and high schools in the southeast.

I taught Physical Education for several years at Hunters Creek Elementary School, where I had the opportunity to team-teach with Mrs. Heather Floyd.

This is my second year at Meadow View Elementary.

I was fortunate enough to spend a great deal of my life overseas.  My early childhood was spent in Nassau, Bahamas.  After a brief stay in San Jose, Costa Rica, my teenage years were spent in Balboa, Panama.  About every four years, my family would stay a year in North Carolina, where my parents were from.

Sports have always been a big part of my life.  My brother and I always played football, basketball, and baseball/softball.  I also participated in what they might call extreme sports now.  I surfed the waves of Panama and had several skateboard ramps in my yard.

I have always played guitar on and off throughout my life.  I still play quite a bit.

I really enjoy seeing kids realize that they can be successful movers!  Most people can find some activity that they enjoy and can enjoy for a lifetime.
